“How to Make Easter Baskets Out of Milk Jugs”

Here’s a fun Easter craft to do with your little ones before the Easter bunny comes. This craft uses critical thinking, helps with fine motor skills and creativity.

Supplies Needed:

  • Milk Jug
  • Construction paper
  • Scissor (or pre cut construction paper)
  • Hole punch
  • Glue or tape
  • String
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Stickers (optional)

Building an Easter Basket:

  1. Cut the top off the jug and discard (adult job)
  2. Use the hole punch to create your two handle holes on either side
  3. Cut the construction paper to the size of the bottle
  4. Decorate your construction paper on a flat surface
  5. Fish the string through the handle hole (tie a knot on the inside to prevent your handle from coming loose). You may want to use more than one string fro a stronger handle.
  6. Glue or tape the decorated construction paper to the milk jug

All done! Now you they have their very own Easter basket for Easter eggs or decoration.  Share a picture of your child and their Easter basket to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/signbabysign
